Company List Manager allows users to create, manage and share custom company lists.
Access the Company List Manager:
From the Manage Lists menu, select List Manager.
From the List Manager sub menu, select Companies. The Company List Manager grid displays.
Company List Manager Grid displays all custom company lists available for use. Additional details pertaining to the custom lists display. Filter your available lists based on the criteria selected. Click any of the column headers once to sort the column in ascending order. Click the header again to sort in descending order.
Alerts Icon provides a visual representation of the Alerts status. This includes alerts that have been shared with you. View alerts that you have previously set through Alerts Service or add your custom list to Alert Service.
Alert types:
A solid green alert icon indicates that the custom lists is already set up in Alerts. Users can click on the solid green alert icon to go to the Alerts Watch List page and view the current alerts and monitor recent alert activity or go to the Alerts Settings page and complete the alerts settings process.
An outlined alert indicates that the custom list is available to be added to Alerts.
An outlined alert with a diagonal slash indicates that this list is either a Summation or a Public Shared List and not available to be added to Alerts. If you wish to create an alert for a public shared list you can create your own copy of the desired list by using the Copy option within the company list menu.
Add or modify your alerts from the Company Lists Manager grid.
Click the alerts icon next to the custom company list.
A pop-up appears indicating that the selected list has been added to Alerts and redirects users to the Alerts Settings page to assist you in setting the specific parameters for the desired alert.
List Type - Company lists are organized into multiple categories. Available list types include:
My Custom List displays custom company lists created by you.
My Shared List displays your custom company lists and summations that you have shared with your coworkers.
Public Shared List displays custom company lists that have been shared with you by your coworkers.
My Summations displays any summation you have created.
Filter the grid to display selected list types.
List Name - Sort and search the grid by list name.
Search for a specific list name using the List Name text box search option. Then click the filter icon.
Click the List Name hyperlink to view the list within the Results page.
View added notes for the selected list, if available. Hover over the note icon next to the company list name hyperlink to view the notes.
List Owner - Filter the company lists by List Owner.
Select the desired list owners names from the drop-down to narrow down the desired search results.
Click the filter icon.
Created/ Updated On - Sort by the Created/Updated On date.
Number of Companies - Sort by the number of companies within the custom list manager grid.
Shared With displays the number of coworkers with whom you have shared your custom lists.
Main Menu Icon: Use the Main Menu Icon to create, manage and export custom company lists for multiple companies.
Create Company Lists - Create a Custom Company List or Summation:
Click the Create Company List option. The Create Company Lists page displays. Select and save the companies for your custom company list or summation.
Export Multiple Lists - Export list details to excel. The excel file displays the company type and domicile.
From the Company Lists Manager grid, select multiple custom company lists you wish to export.
Click the Export Multiple Lists option from the main context menu. The selected company lists exports to excel.
Combine Multiple Lists - Merge multiple custom company lists into a new custom company list using the Combine Multiple Lists option.
Note: Individual lists will not be deleted. This option in not available with summations.
From the Company Lists Manager grid, select the custom company lists you wish to combine.
Select the Combine Multiple Lists option from the main menu icon.
Enter a new name for this list in the pop-up text box and click OK.
A pop-up appears indicating that you have successfully combined the selected lists into a new custom list. Click OK. The new company list will be placed in the Company List Manager Grid.
Delete Multiple Lists - Only the creator of the shared custom list can delete the custom list. Certain lists can not be deleted for various reason such as the list is used in BestAlert, current company list, search results list or it is a public shared list.
From the Company Lists Manager grid, select the custom company lists for deletion.
Click the Delete Multiple Lists option from the main menu icon.
A Warning displays if the custom company lists can not be deleted.
Click Yes to delete the lists or select Cancel to take no action.
Reset Grid - Click the reset grid option to return to the default settings.
Company List Menu Icon - Use the Company List Menu Icon to manage, edit and share the desired custom company list.
Take List To: Quickly navigate to the report features available in BestLink.
View List: View the AMB numbers and Company Names for the selected custom list. The following options are available from the View Company List pop up.
Export the selected list.
Print the selected list.
Take List to: quickly navigate to the report features available in BestLink.
Select Close to take no action.
Edit List: Modify a custom company list.
Click the specific Company List menu.
Click the Edit option. The Create Company Lists page displays. Modify your company list as necessary and save the changes.
Rename: Rename the selected custom list.
From the Company Lists section, click the Rename option for the company list you wish to rename.
Modify the list name in the Enter a new name for this list text box.
Click the Save button to complete the changes.
Copy: Create a duplicate copy of an existing company list.
Click the specific Company List menu.
Click the Copy option.
Type a list name in the Enter a name for the copied list textbox.
Click the OK button to complete the save.
Delete: Only the creator of the shared custom list can delete the custom list. Certain lists can not be deleted for various reason such as the list is used in BestAlert, current company list, search results list or it is a public shared list.
Click the specific Company List menu icon.
Click the Delete option.
A pop-up window displays the name of the custom company list you are requesting to delete.
Click OK to delete the list or select Cancel to take no action.
Add Sharing: Share custom company lists and summations with your coworkers. Shared lists can be used in any BestLink reporting feature.
Click the specific Company List menu icon.
Click the Add Sharing option.
From the Add List Sharing popup select the following:
Check the Share with everyone under my registration number option to share with all available customers associated with your registration number.
Select individual names in the Available Customers box.
Use the Search Available Customers... option to narrow down the search results.
Use the Last Name (LN) or First Name (FN) option to assist in your search results.
Click A/Z button to place the list in ascending order or Click the Z/A button to place the list in descending order.
Click the single right facing arrow to add the item to the Selected Customers section. Click the double right facing arrow to add the items to the Selected Customers section.
Click the Save button.
Modify Sharing: The modify sharing menu option appears for your shared lists.
Click the specific Company List menu icon.
Click the Modify Sharing option.
From the Add List Sharing popup select the following:
Check the Share with everyone under my registration number option to share with all available customers associated with your registration number.
Select individual names in the Available Customers box.
Use the Search Available Customers... option to narrow down the search results.
Use the Last Name (LN) or First Name (FN) option to assist in your search results.
Click A/Z button to place the list in ascending order or Click the Z/A button to place the list in descending order.
Click the single right facing arrow to add the single item to the Selected Customers section. Click the double right facing arrow to add the items to the Selected Customers section.
Click the Save button.
Stop Sharing - Stop sharing a company list/summation. The shared list is still available for your personal use, but is no longer available to other users. Only the creator of the shared custom company list can revoke the shared status. You cannot stop sharing a shared company list if it is used within a saved template.
Click the specific Company List menu icon.
Click the Stop Sharing option.
Click the OK button to confirm that you wish to stop sharing the selected list.
Add Note: Add the desired details to your custom list. Only the owner of the custom list can add a note. The added note is viewable by any coworker the list has been shared with.
Click the specific Company List menu icon.
Click the Add Note option.
Enter the desired text in the add note text box.
Click Save to add the note or select Cancel to take no action.
Print:
Click the specific Company List menu icon.
Click the Print option. The selected company list page displays to be printed.
Export:
Click the specific Company List menu icon.
Click the Export option. The selected company list exports to excel.
