Reinsurer/Cedent Profile

Reinsurer/Cedent Profile features general information, Best's Ratings and analytical financial data for a quick visual representation of the company's performance.

 

Access Profiles from the Reinsurance (Schedule F&S) option in the Explore Schedules menu.

    1. Select the database on which you wish to view information.

    2. Choose the company.

      • Select a company from the drop-down lists.

        1. From the Company List Type drop-down option, select Custom Company List, Saved Criteria, Shared Company List, or Standard Company List. Select Custom Company List if you wish to view -Search Results-.
          The selected Company List Type populates the Company Lists drop-down option.

        2. From the Company Lists drop-down option, select the company list you wish to view.
          The selected list populates the Companies drop-down option.  

        3. From the Companies drop-down list, select a company to view the profile for the selected filing company.

      • Find a company.

        1. Click the Quick Reinsurer Search button.

        2. Use the Settings option to assist in narrowing down the results by AMB Number, NAIC Number, or FEIN Number for selection. Enter AMB#, NAIC#, FEIN, or filing company name. Enter at least 3 characters or digits to see companies matching the search criteria entered.

        3. Select the company of your choosing.

        4. Click the OK button.  

    • Company Information - View the company address and identification numbers.

    • Available Standard Reports - Access reinsurance specific reports for the selected company.

      • Reinsurance SummaryReinsurance Summary (Schedule F)

        • The report displays a company’s assumed & ceded business by NAIC designated groups over the last five year period.

        • This 5-year report provides a company’s assumed and ceded summary amounts proportioned by NAIC classifications of sources: U.S. Affiliates: Foreign Affiliates; Pools, U.S. Insurers, and Other Non-US Insurers with percentages.

        • The 5- year report also contains ceded reinsurance recoverables including paid, case unpaid, IBNR, unearned premiums and net amount recoverables by various classifications of sources with percentages of each total as reported in the company’s Schedule F - Part 3.

         

      • Ceded Reinsurance RecoverablesCeded Reinsurance Recoverables (Schedule F)

        • This report displays a company’s Schedule F- Part 3 ceded reinsurance recoverable by each NAIC designated groups and by the top listed reinsurers with the highest net recoverable amounts within each group.

        • This report provides a company’s ceded reinsurance recoverables by authorized, unauthorized and certified groups, as well as a detailed listing of the top 25 authorized, unauthorized and certified reinsurers and top five affiliated & pool reinsurers by recoverable amounts.  

        • It contains high level consolidated column amounts including paid, case unpaid, IBNR and  net amount recoverables by reinsurers group as per NAIC designation and lists the top reinsurers as reported in the company’s Schedule F-Part 3.

         

      • Top 10 Assumed - 11 YearsTop 10 Assumed - 11 Years (Schedule F)

        • The report captures a company’s top 10 listed reinsurers over 11 years based on their total assumed reinsurance recoverables.

        • The report contains assumed reinsurance premiums and recoverables including assumed and unearned premiums, paid & unpaid recoverables, and total recoverable amount with percentages and company’s classifications: U.S. Affiliates; Foreign Affiliates; Pools, U.S. Insurers, and Other Non-US insurers as reported in the company’s Schedule F – Part 1.

         

      • Top 10 Ceded - 11 YearsTop 10 Ceded - 11 Years (Schedule F)

        • The report captures a company’s top 10 listed reinsurers over 11 years based on their net ceded reinsurance recoverables.

        • The report contains assumed and ceded reinsurance premiums and recoverables including paid, unpaid, IBNR, and net recoverable amount with percentages and company’s classifications: U.S. Affiliates; Foreign Affiliates; Pools; U.S. Insurers, and Other non-US Insurers as reported in the company’s Schedule F – Part 3.

         

      • Reinsurance Assumed and Ceded by TypeReinsurance Assumed and Ceded by Type (Schedule S)

        • The report captures the company’s reinsurance by type for assumed and ceded business from Part 1, Section 1 and Part 3, Section 1.

        • The report contains ceded and assumed premiums and the amount in force at the end of the year, reinsurance payable on unpaid losses, and reserve credit taken for current and prior year.

        • US Affiliates and Non-Affiliates from the general account and the separate accounts are included in the report.

      • Reinsurance Ceded by Type of ReinsuranceReinsurance Ceded by Type of Reinsurance (Schedule S)

        • The report capturers the company’s top 10 reinsured based on the total amount in force at the end of the year for their ceded business.

        • The report contains ceded premiums, amount in force at the end of the year, reserve credit taken for the current and prior year.

        • US Affiliates, Non-Affiliates, Non-US Affiliates from the general account and the separate accounts are included in the report.

         

      • 5 Years of Amount In Force for Top 10 Reinsurers5 Years of Amount In Force for Top 10 Reinsurers (Schedule S)

        • The report captures the company’s top 10 reinsured for five years based on the total amount in force at the end of the year.

        • The information is based on the General Accounts – Non Affiliated companies.

         

      • 11 Years of Assumed & Ceded Reinsurance by Type11 Years of Assumed & Ceded Reinsurance by Type (Schedule S)

        • The report captures ten years of the company’s top 15 reinsured assumed and ceded business based on the total amount in force at the end of the year for their Coinsurance and YRT business. The information is based on General Accounts – Non Affiliated companies.

    • Best's Credit Ratings

    • Financial Indicators - View a brief summary of the selected insurer’s financial data.

    • Assumed Premiums - View a breakdown of Assumed Premiums.

Create a part report for the selected reinsurer. The report displays the companies that have included the selected reinsurer in their filing for the selected part(s).

    1. Choose the following options to create a Part report for the selected reinsurer.

      • Year: Select the desired data year. Eleven years of data are available.

      • Part: Select the desired part for the report. Choose a specific part or choose Multiple Parts to view data for more than one part.  

    2. Optional: Limit the results to filing companies that meet certain criteria from the Filter Filing Companies section.

      • State of Domicile: Filter the report to show companies that are domiciled within a specific state.

      • Ratings: Filter the report to show companies by Best's Credit Ratings. Rating information is based on current data regardless of the year selected.

      • Top and Ranked by: View a specified number of companies based on the ranking of the selected field.

      • Aggregation Code: View companies within a specific Aggregation. Aggregation information is based on current data only. Group data is not available prior to 2006.

    3. Modify the fields for the report, if desired. Available field lists include Part data, Key Financial Indicators, and Rating Information. If a specific part is chosen in step 1 above, the selected part data is available. When Multiple Parts is selected, all part data is available.

      1. Click the Select Fields button.
        The Select Fields for Reinsurer Report dialog displays.

      2. Modify the fields as needed.

      3. Optional: Click the Save as Default button to automatically display the selected fields the next time you run a part report for the selected part.

      4. Click OK to view the report.

    4. Choose to view specific filing companies, if desired. Choosing companies will not include any previously set filters.

      1. Click the Select Specific Filing Companies button.
        The Select Filing Companies dialog displays all companies that list the selected reinsurer on their filing.

      2. Choose the companies you wish to display.
        Available options include:

        • Search for a specific company by Name, AMB #, NAIC #, or FEIN.

        • Use the Select All and Clear All options to assist in company selection.

      3. Click the OK button to view the report.  

    1. Click the Create/Update Part Report button, if needed.

Click a linked company to view the corresponding part data for that company. This feature is not available when Multiple Parts is selected.

Schedule F:

    • With a Part 1 report displayed, select a filing company link to view the Part 3 report for the selected company.

    • With a Part 3 report displayed, select a filing company link to view the Part 1 report for the selected company.

Schedule S:

    • With a Part 1, Section 1 report displayed, select a filing company link to view the Part 3, Section 1 report for the selected company.

    • With a Part 1, Section 2 report displayed, select a filing company link to view the Part 3, Section 2 report for the selected company.

    • With a Part 3, Section 1 report displayed, select a filing company link to view the Part 1, Section 1 report for the selected company.

    • With a Part 3, Section 2 report displayed, select a filing company link to view the Part 1, Section 2 report for the selected company.

Click the Export to Excel button to export the information.
