Search Results

Search Results displays companies matching the Fast Find, Basic Search, Data Availability Search, or Advanced Search criteria. View the results as a temporary list called -Search Results- within Custom Lists or save the results as a custom company list. Quickly modify the search to update your results or use the -Search Results- or custom company list within any BestLink for Excel reporting feature.

 

Access Search Results from the Search Companies group button.

 

Quickly save all companies or only a select few as a custom list.

Select the companies you wish to save. Click a company name to view company details including the type of company and the domicile.

      1. Click the corresponding checkbox to select a company. Use the Select All and Clear All options to assist in company selection.

      2. Click the Save Selected Companies button. The Save Custom Companies List window appears allowing you to save the custom company list.

or

      1. Click the Save Entire List button. The Save Custom Companies List window appears allowing you to save the custom company list.

Filter the Search Results by Product and Aggregation. Not all aggregations apply to all products.

    1. Click the Filter button. The Filter Companies by Aggregation window appears.

    2. Choose a database from the Select Product drop-down list.

    3. Select the desired Aggregations.  

    4. Click the Filter button to limit the search results. The companies on the Search Results window are filtered to show only those companies matching the product and aggregation selected. Click the Clear Filter button to reset the Search Results to full population.

    1. Click the Modify Search button.

Fast Find, Basic Search, Data Availability Search, or Advanced Search opens with the previously selected criteria.

Quickly navigate to BestLink for Excel features including Company Overview, Quick Reports, or Report Wizards for the Search Results

    1. Select the appropriate BestLink for Excel feature from the Take My Results To? drop-down list.

    2. Choose Use all companies or Use selected companies as your company population. To select companies, click the corresponding checkbox. Use the Select All and Clear All options to assist in company selection.

    3. Optional: Set a default selection for the Take My Results To? drop-down list. The selection is saved to the Company Searches tab in User Preferences.  

    4. Click the Go button.  
      The appropriate BestLink for Excel feature displays.
