Use the Company Searches tab in User Preferences to set default search values and options for Fast Find, Basic Search, and Data Availability Search.
Searches only return companies from product I own - Limit Fast Find and Basic Search results to companies in products in which you subscribe.

Fast Find Options - Set a default search field for Fast Find.
Basic Search Options - Customize the search options for Basic Search. Set a default search option for the Company Identification section, or clear previously set search values for Business Type, Consolidation Type, Domicile, and Best's Ratings. Select Return only rating units to limit the results to companies that are Rating Units.
Data Availability Search Options - Set default selections for Data Availability Search.
Products
Display all products - View all databases available in BestLink for Excel regardless of subscriptions.
Only display products I own - View only the databases for which you have a subscription.
Results
Match all criteria - Companies returned must match all criteria.
Match any criteria - Companies returned must match at least one criterion.
Advanced Search Options - Choose to Always include fields used in queries when creating custom reports when performing an Advanced Search in the Custom Report Wizard.
