Create Company Summation

Summations enumerate the sum of multiple items as a single entry. When using summations in Custom Reports or Standard Reports, summations are only reported for whole dollar values. This feature is not compatible with percentages and ratios. 

Rename, edit, or delete summations from the Custom List Manager.

Important: This feature is not available for Schedules F, S &  D databases. 

Select Create Company Lists from the Custom Lists menu.  

The Available Companies List section displays all previously saved custom lists, summations, and saved criteria lists. All companies within the active company list display in the Available Companies section. The active company list can be a previously saved company list or any temporary lists including -Search Results- or subsets.

Select companies from any available database.

    1. Select a database, if necessary.
      Standard Company Lists from the selected database populate in the Available Company List section.

    2. Select a company list from the Available Companies List section.
      The selected list populates the Available Companies section.

    3. Select companies. Use the type-ahead or the alphabetize features to assist in locating items.

    1. After selecting the desired companies, click the Summation button.

The Custom List Manager page opens to the Companies page.

    1. Best's Global Standard only: Complete the 3 options under the section The following options are necessary to use the company summation in Best's Global Standard.

      • Country

      • Currency

      • Business Type

    1. Type a name for the summation list in the Enter a new name for this list text box.

    2. Optional: Select the Share List checkbox to share this summation with your coworkers.

    3. Click the Save button to save the list of companies as a summation.

The Create Company Lists page opens. The saved company summation is highlighted in the Available Companies Lists section and marked with an (S) for Summation.

Use company summation in Custom Reports and Standard Reports.

    • Select personal summation lists from the Custom Company Lists folder.

    • Select shared summation lists from the Shared Company List folder. The shared company list is available to all subscribers with the same registration number. Shared lists may not be immediately available to subscribers.
