Use the Custom Reports tab in User Preferences to set default preferences for Custom Report formats.
File Layout - Select a default layout option for your custom reports:
Single Sheet - Custom report data appears on one worksheet.
Multiple Sheets - Custom report data appears on several worksheets.
Flat File - Flat File outputs one record per company, with each report component and data field placed in separate columns. Use the Flat File method for pivot tables. This option is not available when combining multiple products that include states or lines.
Row and Column Headings - Set the font style for row and column headers.
Data - Set the font style for data.
File Layout Options - Show identifiers on custom reports to simplify custom report modification. Identifier information is available from Export Data Definitions.
Show company identifiers - View the AMB Number and NAIC Number when running custom report.
Show field identifiers - View the BestLink field ID when running custom reports.
Show state identifiers - View the two character abbreviation when running custom reports that include states. (Best's State/Line and Best's Supplemental Health Care Exhibit)
Show line of business identifiers - View the BestLink line of business identifier when running custom reports that include lines. (Best's State/Line and Best's IEE)
Merge column headings on single sheet report - Display the column headers for grouped items centered across the top of the column.
Do not format data (leave existing format)
Numeric Data Format
Decimal Places: Select the number of digits to appear after the decimal place for all the financial data. By selecting zero, there will be no decimal places in the number.
Use Thousands Separator: Format financial numbers on your report with commas. Separate the number (in groups of three digits) with a comma.
Use Dollar Sign: Include a dollar sign with financial data.
Negative Numbers: Select a format for the negative financial data.
Text Control
Wrap column headers - Format column headers to appear on multiple lines in a cell.
Wrap row headers - Format row headers to appear on multiple lines in a cell.
Wrap data - Format data to appear on multiple lines in a cell.
Autosize columns - Use this feature to automatically adjust the column width to match the widest data item in the column.
Blank Cells
Fill numeric blank cells with: Specify how you would like blank cells to appear.
Fill non-numeric blank cells with: Specify how you would like blank cells to appear.
Data Alignment
Financial Data: Select if you would like the financial data to be left, center, or right aligned. Right is the default selection.
Non-Financial Data: Select if you would like the non-financial data to be left, center, or right aligned. Left is the default selection.
