Calculation Functions

Use functions to create custom field Calculations.

    1. Select a function.

      • AVG - Returns the average (arithmetic mean) of the numeric value of all the fields and constants in the list.

      • MAX - Displays the largest value from the list.

      • MIN - Displays the smallest value from the list.

      • SUM - Adds all the fields and constants in a list.

All non-relevant sections are hidden from view. The Equation box is replaced with the Insert Function box.

    1. Specify your Data Period options for the calculation.

      1. Set your calculation year selection option.

      2. If necessary, change the Data Period.

    2. Select a field list from the Available Field Lists section.
      The selected list populates the Available Fields section.

    3. Select the field. Use the type-ahead or the alphabetize features to assist in locating items.

    4. Click the Add Selection button.

    5. Repeat the steps 2 through 5 until all fields are selected.

    6. Click the Save button to signify completion of the function. The complete function appears in the Equation box.

    7. Complete your calculation.
