Type Ahead/Find Feature

The Type Ahead/Find feature allows you to quickly locate items within the active list. Set default Direction, Search Type, and Options on the Type Ahead tab in User Preferences.

1. Activate the Find feature for the active list.

• Click to activate the Find feature.

or

• Click an item within the list and begin typing text.

2. Type the search text in the Enter Search String text box.

• Search for companies by name or AMB Number.

• Search string can be the full search value or a partial search.

3. Choose a directional search option to locate companies. Choose Forward to search for items in the list that fall after the current position. Choose Backward to search for items in the list before the current position.

4. Select a search type of Matches Beginning or Matches Anywhere. Search Type is not available if Incremental Search is selected.

5. Select your options.

• Incremental Search automatically selects the first occurrence of the search string as you type. Incremental Search selection disables Search Type options.

• Case Sensitive locates items based on capitalization sensitivity.
