Part 2 - Gross Basis Triangle

Gross Basis triangles for Part 2 are calculated from Part 1. The accident years from each of the last ten years’ statement provide the data for the corresponding column in the triangle. In the example below, the accident years from the 2012 statement provide the data in the 2012 column in the triangle. The triangle data is calculated by adding columns 4, 6, 13, 15, 17 and 19 for each year. The process is repeated for all 10 statement years to complete the triangle.
