A.M. Best 's operations in the European, Middle Eastern and African region are conducted through two wholly owned subsidiaries in London, A.M. Best Europe - Rating Services Limited (AMBERS) and A.M. Best Europe - Information Services Limited (AMBEIS) and a third subsidiary in Amsterdam, A.M. Best (EU) Rating Services B.V. (AMB-EU).

The primary operations of AMBERS and AMB-EU relate to the issuance of insurance credit ratings with the latter issuing ratings at the request of entities within the European Union member nations.

Today, the rating coverage of AMBERS includes regional and national insurers, as well as global organisations, located throughout Europe and the United Kingdom, the Middle East as well as Africa. In addition to publishing credit ratings, A.M. Best is also a well-known and highly regarded insurance industry data provider and news publisher, with a variety of resources available online and in print. AMBEIS primarily serves as A.M. Best's provider of information and news products in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
