Elizabeth Dole

A graduate of Duke University and Harvard University, Dole formerly served as the Deputy Assistant for Consumer Affairs under President Richard Nixon. A member of the Federal Trade Commission from 1973 to 1979, Dole served as the Secretary of Transportation under President Ronald Reagan from 1983 to 1987 and as the Secretary of Labor under President George H.W. Bush in 1989 and 1990. A former president of the American Red Cross, Dole was elected to the U.S. Senate in 2002.
