A panel of insurance claims and adjusting industry experts discuss the complex relationship between independent adjusters and third party administrators (TPAs) in various insurance markets. A number of independent adjusters offer or have recently opened a TPA division within their company, but it is not clear how well equipped some industry TPAs are to handle certain claims. Participants of this webinar address the outsourcing process and the selection of reputable companies in the insurance industry.
Catastrophic flood events pose a widespread risk to property in the United States and are responsible for more Presidential Disaster Declarations than any other peril, with over $5 billion in economic loss each year. The panel discusses the challenges that currently exist in managing flood risk in the United States from a primary underwriting and reinsurance perspective, the advances in modeling and mapping tools available to the industry to understand and transfer risk from this peril in a manner similar to other catastrophic perils, opportunities for business growth enabled by those advances and the evolving market impact of uncertain regulatory changes. |
