2004 E-Fusion Award Recipient - Office Automation Management

Automation Management

ProcessClaims

The A.M. Best Co. presented ProcessClaims with the E-Fusion award in the Office Automation Management category at the 2004 A.M. Best Co. Insurance and Technology Conference in Baltimore Oct. 19. The award recognizes innovation in insurance technology.

ProcessClaims, a 4-year-old provider of information-technology solutions based in Manhattan Beach, Calif., seeks to streamline the claims process through its ClaimsPort product, which is designed to reduce loss cost, cycle time and severity, and improve customer service. Farmers Insurance Group used the product to centralize its entire national claims center, according to Wesley Koenen, director of corporate development and marketing.

David Ferrara, a co-founder, said that the strength of his company's product and services--and probably the reason for receiving recognition by judges--"was the ability to deliver a bolt-on solution to our customers via Web Services and our ability to deliver value to a major customer."
