The E-Fusion Award
Launched Introduced
in 2002:
the E-Fusion
Award is a new award designed to highlight outstanding, resourceful uses of Internet
technology by an insurance organization. The candidate project, product or service
must have been introduced or redeveloped recently and directly related to the
business of insurance.
The
competition was open to the following: - Insurance
companies;
- Reinsurers;
- Third-party
technology providers working with an insurer, insurance agency or brokerage; or
- Related financial
services providers engaged in insurance.
Entries
included projects designed to sell, support, educate, underwrite, manage operations,
handle claims or support any aspect of conducting an insurance or reinsurance
enterprise. We asked
judges to make their determinations based not only on the creativity and resourcefulness
employed, but ultimately on whether a project succeeds in meeting its business
mission and furthering the business of insurance. One requirement was that the
project had to be in actual use.
